Beets Can't Be Beat!

Red Beetroots belong to the same food family as spinach and quinoa and research has shown a plethora of health benefits. Beets contain fiber, folate, vitamin C, potassium and nitrates (not the harmful nitrates found in processed meats but rather nitrates used to promote benefits with oxidative stress, inflammation and endothelial function).

When beets are consumed, some nitrates are converted to nitric oxide (NO) which helps relax and widen blood vessels aiding in blood pressure regulation, erectile dysfunction, muscle soreness and type 2 diabetes.
